Solid Edge is a top of the line design and drafting (CAD) software used throughout the world by Fortune 500 companies. It is robust and flexible. Modeling a part in 3D is the starting point. Once created in 3D, that part can be turned into a 2D drawing, or added to an assembly of parts which can be turned into a 2D drawing. The software is also able to render the part or animate it with life-like quality.
3D PRINTER AND SOFTWARE
The Prusa I3 is a current 3D printer on the market. Using the diamond print head allows tth I3 to print in three colors or two colors and a soluble support material. This allows the printing of complex parts. Generally, only one color and support material is needed. The diamond print head is the lynch pin to the entire printer and is the best on the market. Having prototype parts on hand soon after completing a model is invaluable and is key to a good design.
3D SCANNER AND SOFTWARE
Using the 3D scanner is another way to reproduce a part.
