MANTA R.O.V.



Manta-shaped Remotely Operated Vehicle (R.O.V) for fun in a small body of water like a pool or pond. The manta uses 12-volt DC electric motors and an umbilical cord for power control, auto and video. The manta is naturally buoyant and uses the forward motion to keep it submerged. If it stops, the manta floats. It flies through the water like an airplane flies through air. With intakes only on the top of the wing it reduces the likelihood of the impellers ingesting foreign object debris (F.O.D.). The thrusters on the wings are meant to allow hovering. The attachment point that shapes the vertical fin is for the line or cable to remove the stress on the information umbilical. It a fun toy to have and take pictures with while swimming.
